Melinoë is a canonically polyamarous goddess! She will not tie herself to one individual, which works out for me as someone who ships like a freight train. I'm open to most in-game/established ships, but also some others (like Odysseus/Meli). So don't be afraid to reach out if you aren't sure but are interested in rping a ship!
APPEARANCE
Melinoë adorns her head with a laurel wreath that glows like embers when on her head, similar to her brother's. Parting her bangs at the center is an upward-facing crescent moon on her forehead. She wears a short saffron-colored dress fastened up to the neck brace, with her limbs adorned with metal ornaments, including lunar shapes on her right leg. On her left leg, Melinoë wears a braided cord in the colors of orange, green, blue, and black, matching that of the members of the Silver Sisters which Melinoë is a part of.

SUMMARY
In contrast to her laidback and rebellious older brother, Melinoë is much more serious and disciplined due to her upbringing by Hecate. She tends to have a one-track mind that can make accomplishing her goals easier, but also comes with the drawback of feeling lost once those goals are achieved. Although she likes her space to remain orderly, she makes sure to have room for her many animal companions and collects various nick-knacks. She is also very respectful to everyone she meets and hopes for the same courtesy in kind.

Hades (Father)
The rightful King of the Underworld. A stern, serious man who some cite as difficult but Melinoë believes is just dedicated to his position and takes pride in his work. It may not have been what he chose, but he still is diligent with his responsibilities and keeping the Underworld in order.
Persephone (Mother)
The Queen of the Underworld. She brings a fresh breath of life to a place of death. Melinoë takes after her more in appearance than anything but shares some of her mother's kind-hearted and amicable nature in contrast to her father's more wholly stoic demeanor.
Zagreus (Older Brother)
She heard so much of her brother's adventures growing up under Hecate's care and came to admire him greatly for them. While they have only recently begun to truly know one another, she already is endeared by his positive outlook and seemingly limitless energy. Although their convictions may clash now and again, he is her blood and that will always mean more.
Demeter (Grandmother - Mother's Side)
The goddess of seasons and her loving grandmother. While she wished to know her sooner, Melinoë is grateful for the opportunity to know her now. She is her grandmother's 'flower' and hopes to blossom into a goddess she'd be proud of; however, she also has felt the cold chill of the goddess' power and knows she is not one to be trifled with.

Despite her stern and serious nature, she rescued Melinoë when Chronos attacked The House and has safeguarded her ever since. Although she may claim to have done nothing but use Melinoë as a weapon for her own ends, the woman believes that Hecate truly cares for her. She constantly works to seek her approval and make The Headmistress proud.
Odysseus (Tactician)
He has watched her grow into a powerful albeit still young goddess. She has sought his council much throughout her life and he's never steered her astray. (Well, perhaps that one time with the bow.) She values both his company and wisdom beyond his years even in the afterlife and has come to think of him as an uncle figure rather than her actual Olympian ones she's only just begun to get to know.
Dora (Friendly Shade)
While Dora does like to push her buttons now and again, Melinoë can't imagine her life anymore without the shade haunting her tent. While she does not remember much of her life before after drinking of the river Lethe, the princess of the underworld has been encouraging her to try and find herself and what she wants once more. Also, to find some other friends and get out of her tent now and again. It'd do her some good, after all!
Artemis (Silver Sister)
One of her fellow Silver Sisters under Nyx (along with Selene), Artemis and her have known each other for most of Melinoë's life. Despite discovering the young goddess and Hecate far earlier than they meant to to be found, she kept the secret safe until their task was ready to begin in earnest. For that, Melinoë will always be grateful. It's also nice to have a sister - both in arms and otherwise - in Artemis.

SHADE SENSE
She is able to sense lost souls (aka "shades") and guide them back to where they need to go. She can even influence some to temporarily fight by her side.
INCANTATIONS
As a witch, Melinoë is capable of using a cauldron and specific materials to recite and evoke incantations to suit her needs. It is mostly minor, more convenient things though like more gardening space or removal of wards. At this point, she has also done the incantation to temporarily lift her blood curse so that she can walk among the surface world without dying thanks to her tether to the underworld.
RETURN TO SHADOW
Before a fatal blow, Melinoë will use her remaining strength to cast a spell called 'return to shadow' that returns her to somewhere safe so she can rest and recover.
COMBAT PROFICIENCY
Although she is most familiar with Descura, her Witch's Staff, she is proficient in several types of weaponry (daggers, axe, and fists) as well as trained from a young age for hand-to-hand combat.

WRITING: I prefer prose over action brackets these days, but just because it's easier for me to mobile tag if I want. I'll match style though if someone wants!
I tend to be more introspective/verbose than ecats leaning, personally, but not every tag will be paragraphs long or anything. I also like a bit of fun text spam as much as the next person occasionally.
BACKTAGGING: I tend to backtag pretty far on threads that might mean significant character development, CR growth, etc. in games. PSLs or meme threads really have no time limit though.
That said, I will check in if approximately a month goes by without a return tag to see if the interest is still there. If not, no worries! We can hash it out and move forward to something easier.
THREADHOPPING: Check in with me and the other party first, but usually it's fine as long as it's appropriate/applicable!
PRIVATE FILTERS: If applicable, totally fine by me. If marked as [private], I'd also prefer it be kept between those two characters unless worked out otherwise as to why someone would be snooping.
SENSITIVE TOPICS: Melinoë comes with some baked-in body horror here and there, but otherwise most of her stuff is just cw: Greek Mythology is kind of fucked up, y'all.
As a player, my only real limit is intentional/malicious harm to children.
SMUT: I'm completely open to it! I have a preference for writing out smut, but don't mind discussing 'fade to black' scenarios or hashing out the details OOCly.
ROMANCE/SHIPPING: As long as people are okay with her being a goddess that has canonically stated she won't be tethered to one person, then it's fine by me! She at least will be very upfront about that if anyone expresses any romantic interest. She won't usually be the one to initiate/pursue anyone though just because she has other priorities.
CONFLICT: She'll do her best to smooth things over since she doesn't enjoy conflict but knows in some cases it is unavoidable. She isn't the type to stir up things or entertain it though either- If someone doesn't like her, she tries to get to the bottom of why and resolve it. If that's not possible, then she'll leave them be.
VIOLENCE: Completely open to it! Whether serious or sparring, Melinoë is a soldier through and through so she's ready and capable of fighting. Obviously, she would prefer things not get to that point but... Considering her canon? She kind of expects some fighting now and again.
BADMOUTHING: Also totally fine! She's prim, proper, and a little bit too serious for her own good. This can definitely rub people the wrong way, she knows, and I'm open to people talking bad about her as long as I'm informed and we're on the same page! Whether that be a resolution eventually or just negative CR is fine, I just want to know so as to not step on any toes or have any hurt feelings.
